Julia is into books. She works for a sleazy New York publisher, just hoping for the right manuscript to come along so she can get promoted to her dream job of editor. Julia and her best friend go out dancing on the weekends. One night, by chance, she meets Jack.

Jack is into music. His band is a world-wide sensation and he has a history of going through women. Julia captures Jack’s attention and their love story erupts from there.

Come Dancing by Leslie Wells is an entertaining read that will satisfy anyone looking for a page-turning romance. The characters move through the story with a purpose. Julia is easy to like; she is realistic– living in an affordable part of New York City and buying secondhand clothes. Jack is entertaining and he slowly grows as a character as more about him is revealed.

Taking place in 1981, Wells does a good job of creating an 80’s atmosphere. Her words enchant the readers into a story that is deep and heartfelt. The plot is quick and takes many twists and turns throughout Julia and Jack’s journey.

Well-written, satisfying, and definitely one to read again.

3/5 stars.

I received a free e-book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
